In Diablo 2: Resurrected, changing the difficulty makes the isometric ARPG more challenging, but it also means better gear can be dropped and more EXP can be earned. The three difficulty levels can even become more challenging for extra experience.

However, if the player wants to Buy Diablo 2 Resurrected Runes unlock the option to change the difficulty in Diablo 2: Resurrected, the player must complete a specific mission. Diablo 2: Resurrected has three difficulty levels: Normal, Nightmare and Hell. Normal mode is playable from the beginning of the game, and when the final boss Baal is defeated, players will unlock Nightmare difficulty. Then, when the player kills Baal in Nightmare, they will unlock the final difficulty, Hell.

Players must change to Nightmare or Hell from the main menu, as difficulty cannot be changed during a game session. Players are free to switch difficulty to their liking, but any quest they're doing will reset to the last checkpoint they reached on that difficulty. Completing Normal, Nightmare, and Hell is considered 'beating' Diablo 2, but getting a character to max level or finding the perfect build are additional challenges players can try.

If the player uses the "PlayersX" command in the PC version of Diablo or plays with other people, it will further increase the D2R Items monster level and XP for all difficulties. Changing the difficulty and the number of players will also change the availability of the best farm points for each act in Diablo 2: Resurrected. Buying unique Diablo 2 Resurrected Items from MMOWTS to strengthen themselves is necessary if players want to perform better in the game.
