Coastal Carolina University Men's Soccer Club Team, an SCSA Division 2 program and member of the National Intramural Sports Association (NIRSA) Championship Series, invites applications for the position of Head Coach (temporary position) for the spring of 2018.
Responsibilities: Head coach's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, player development, planning and conducting practices, establishing team roster, productive game management, representing team interests at regional and national conference meetings, team supervision during travel and providing guidance to the team's student leadership.
Duties will include but not be limited to: developing and maintaining a competitive soccer program in harmony with SCSA, NIRSA Championship Series and university policies and procedures; actively leading and teaching eager student-athletes who wish to increase program successes; implementing an effective training program to prepare athletes both physically and mentally for competition; establishing behavioral objectives for the season; and coordinating focus on student-athlete performance as well as persona and leadership development. The head coach is accountable to the officers of the CCU men's soccer club adherence to club university guidelines outlined by the CCU Student Organization Manual and the Department of University Recreation.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; prior soccer experience as a player; commitment to attend all scheduled practices and games; ambition and determination to work with a growing team; and significant knowledge of all phases of the game.
