International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental organization for developing the ISO standards that help businesses in various sectors such as quality, environment, information security, food safety, business continuity, etc. ISO only develops and publishes international standards and it does not involve in the conformity assessment. This is done by the third-party conformity assessment body, EAS. Also, the certification body should get accredited by the local accreditation body in their country to perform the certification process and issue the certification against the management system certification.
